Products

Our lightweight, modular and flexible products for virtually any installation, suitable for macro site and small cells deployment

Operators wrestle with many unknowns as they develop strategies to efficiently and cost effectively modernize their networks: How to upgrade existing sites? How to add new sites? Which strategy and network architecture is best for small cells? Where are the best available sites? How long will it take to get from site selection to installation and deployment to best suit my network expansion needs? Can I tailor a solution for a challenging environment?

EBlink’s wireless fronthaul solutions provide answers for many of the questions operators have because our state-of-the-art products provide the ideal solution for macro sites and small cells, including outstanding performance and rapid, flexible, reliable installations at low cost.

Our products for macro site installation connect the base station/RAN to the antenna via a wireless link. Thanks to the flexibility offered by the wireless connection, our products are suited for virtually any macro site installation, including light poles, water towers, rooftops and terraces, pylons and masts, movable platforms and temporary or test installations.

EBlink’s wireless fronthaul technology is also very well suited for small cell deployment. Thanks to its wireless link, mobile operators can easily and cost-effectively install small cells in urban areas, avoiding the burden of getting authorization for and deploying fiber connection across streets and on buildings.

Wireless fronthaul features

Form factor

EBlink’s modular, lightweight products enable rapid, flexible, low-risk installations at all radio access sites. Their flexibility supports a variety of form factors: both local modules and remote modules can be tailored to customer requirements and to the types of application.

Line of site

The wireless fronthaul solution is based on line of sight and includes high-gain directional antennas on both sides that can be integrated or camouflaged. Typical line-of-sight transmission is up to 100 meters, but can be extended depending on customer requirements and local regulations.

Automatic gain control

The system’s automatic gain control (AGC) feature in real time maintains a steady link-budget performance and ensures the quality of the transmitted signals between the CN module and the Wireless Remote Radio Head™.

High system capacity

The wireless fronthaul solution enables the maximum downlink/uplink throughputs authorized by the selected radio access technology (RAT). A remote adjusted uplink gain is available to set the gain according to customer requirements. The output power provided at the operator-antenna level depends on the customer requirements within the power limits of the multi-carrier power amplifiers.

Multi-sector and multi-band antenna

To ensure a better integration in the environment, EBlink is continuously improving its products design and can provide mobile operators with mono-sector, bi-sector and tri-sector fronthaul antennas.

Remote monitoring and control system

EBlink’s modules can be monitored at the operations and maintenance center (OMC-R) in the same way as radio equipment (Node B, base transceiver station, etc.) with external alarm facilities. EBlink also can allow remote monitoring through wireless modems that relay equipment information and alarms to a server or even to mobile devices. The central server can be hosted by the operator or EBlink can provide it as a managed service. In addition, operators also can monitor cell sites remotely and in real time via a smartphone.

Compliance with 3GPP, ETSI and EMC standards

EBlink’s product lines are compliant with the 3GPP, ETSI and EMC standards referring to the following requirements:

  • EVM (error vector magnitude)
  • Frequency stability
  • Spectrum emission
  • Spurious emissions
  • Inter-modulation
  • ACLR (adjacent channel leakage ratio)
  • Co-location and coexistence of 2G/3G/LTE

Our product lines also are compatible with the AISG (Antenna Interface Standardization Group) standard.

Compliance with standard environmental conditions

EBlink’s approach to product design is grounded in a commitment to make products more environmentally efficient and friendly. The products are compliant with the European directive 2002/95/EC, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). Our products are designed to be integrated in any environment without visual and health impacts.

Product installation

The simple installation procedure, which can be completed within a few hours, consists of the CN module installation and connection to the radio access network (RAN), the fronthaul antennas installation and the Wireless Remote Radio Head™ installation and connection to the network antenna.
